CDS Monarch Connection

August 2014

Issue #5

CEO Corner

It's hard to believe that we are already more than half way through the year! I hope you have all been having a great summer so far. At CDS Monarch, the past couple of months have been filled with celebrations. We received a few awards, hosted several events, and celebrated some significant achievements made by the people we assist! You can read about all of these things in the sections below.

We have also been busy developing our Managed Long Term Care (MLTC) plan under iCircle Services. We had a readiness review with the Department of Health on June 30th, and now we are just waiting for their final approval to launch the MLTC plan, which will be called iCircle Care.

The involvement of each family who has a loved one receiving assistance at CDS Monarch is very important, especially with the changing model of service delivery for people in New York State. Making a donation or a planned gift, signing up to be a volunteer, or attending agency events and educational trainings are all greatly encouraged. Please keep in touch with us, and as always, thank you for your continued support of CDS Monarch.

Almost all of us have been touched by cancer in some way, and the staff and residents at Beckwith decided that they wanted to do something to make a difference for those who have been affected by it. Everyone enjoyed sharing this special moment and were glad to be able to show their support for cancer patients and survivors.
